Spongebob Recipes: Vegan Pretty Patties
for the buns:
→ yields 8 buns each
yellow:
3 cups spelt flour (360g)
1 ½ tsp salt
1 cup non dairy milk (250ml)
1 tbsp vegan butter
1 tbsp raw sugar
2 tsp dry active yeast
1 tsp turmeric + ½ tsp black pepper
green:
3 cups spelt flour (360g)
1 ½ tsp salt
1 cup non dairy milk (250ml)
1 tbsp vegan butter
1 tbsp raw sugar
2 tsp dry active yeast
1 tsp matcha or spinach powder → when using spinach powder feel free to add more to intensify the green color - more matcha is just gonna make it taste weirdly like grass, unless you like that flavour - then go for it ;)
pink:
3 cups spelt flour (360g)
1 ½ tsp salt
½ cup non dairy milk (125ml)
½ cup red beet juice (125ml)
1 tbsp vegan butter
1 tbsp raw sugar
2 tsp dry active yeast
for the patties:
→ makes 6-8 burgers, depending on the size
→ burger toppings, onion, tomato, lettuce pickles etc.
extra olive oil to fry off the burgers
yellow:
1 can white beans (240g)
⅓ cup sunflower seeds (35g) or walnuts (45g)
1 onion, sautéed for 5-8 min
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp dried Italian herbs (I used a garlic herb mix in the video)
½ cup + 1 tbsp oats, rolled (65g)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp mustard
½ tsp turmeric + ½ tsp black pepper salt to taste
green:
1 cup green peas, defrosted (150g)
½ cup chickpeas (120g)
juice of ½ lemon
2 tbsp nutritional yeast
1 onion, sautéed for 5-8 min
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp dried Italian herbs (I used a garlic herb mix in the video)
¾ cup oats, rolled (70g)
2 tbsp soy sauce
salt to taste → if too wet, add 1 tbsp of cornstarch and/or more oats
red:
1 can kidney beans (240g)
⅓ cup sunflower seeds (35g) or walnuts (45g)
1 onion, sautéed for 5-8 min
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp dried Italian herbs (I used a garlic herb mix in the video)
½ cup + 1 tbsp oats, rolled (65g)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp mustard
1 tbsp tomato purée
salt to taste
